Aerofly FS airport creation tool ( early alpha version, work in progress )

  • In my opinion, the ACT beta does not yet have some elements integrated and these have to be integrated manually. For me these include:
    - tower view
    - lights
    - carlots

This is how I currently do it for lights:
    - I use a line type that I don't otherwise use as an auxiliary line
    - where I need the position data, I set the handles of this auxiliary line
    - then I export the TAP file
    - now I add the light elements and take the position information from the auxiliary line
    - I then convert this tap date

Things are going quite quickly now. I just have to make sure that if there are changes in the ACT, I integrate my manual additions back into the TAP file exported from ACT.

I realize that I should finally take a break from creating airfields and write some instructions. My improvement list is also still waiting.

I always refer to this source for the ACT converter. Unfortunately, the message “404 Not Found” is currently appearing.

So my question is: Which URL can we use to download the ACT converter?

  • As far as I know, creating IMAGES still works, at least there are always members from the community who publish something.

There are also members in the community who generate TMB objects and then publish them as POIs.

And to create airfields you can send an email directly to IPACS and then, according to my observation, you will also be admitted to the AirportCreationTool.

What email can I use to contact them? I am a content creator from Brazil and would really like to help test the airport tool.

I used mail@ipacs.de and they gave me an access to the online airport creation tool.
With that link you will be able the first stage : Creating and sharing Airport with the community. But you will not be able to generate directly usable file for your sim.

ApfelFlieger helped me for this second stage ;)

  • I hope some day the airports creation tool becomes open for creators to contribute. This could help to have a bigger community in Aerofly sims. I have noticed in X-Plane that many people find their space and stick with the sim mostly creating content: airports, liveries, aircrafts, plugins, and I would love to see a creators community in AFS sim too.

    Best regards, Juan

  • Basically, I assume that at some point the AirportCreationTool (ACT) will be released. In my opinion, the big challenge at the moment is the good integration of additional features.

Already today, the possibilities of pushback, towing aircraft, towing winch, individual PAPI, individual take-off and landing positions, etc., as well as car parking spaces, can only be adjusted by hand outside the ACT. Further elements would be e.g. passenger bridges, floor labels, taxiway signs, etc.

So: I am confident in the long run - and patient. Also on this topic applies to me the saying: "Grass does not grow faster when you pull on it.":)

I hope it will be soon… I mean, there are so many people who are willing to make airports for Aerofly (myself included), I think it would help make the entire world 3D so much quicker 👌
