Is this happening to anyone else? The Canary Islands and everywhere in Ireland has poor quality scenery. I don't remember this being the case in FS 2022.
Madeira seems affected too.
What happened to Ireland and Canary Islands' scenery?

Yes Ireland, Canary Islands, and Madeira all seem to have worse scenery wonder why that is.

We simply do not have better aerial images at the moment.

They were all good in FS 2022 though. You all lost them or can't use them anymore?

@Embraer 175: The images in Ireland have never been the same quality as in the rest of UK. We haven't lost anything or changed the images.

admin Ireland has never had UK's quality, that is correct. However, Ireland (and the other regions listed above) in FS 2023 is way more blurry than FS 2022.
Here's a video from FS 2022. At 3 minutes in you can see the roads with the ground textures. In FS 2023 it's unclear because it's more blurry.External Content youtu.beContent embedded from external sources will not be displayed without your consent.Through the activation of external content, you agree that personal data may be transferred to third party platforms. Sorry Torsten and Jan but the images have clearly changed, 2023 is inferior. Mountainous areas in 2022 are also flat in 2023.
This is just to bring the apparent inaccuracy in 'We haven't lost anything or changed the images.' to your attention. FS2023 is still amazingly good.

That is indeed correct. Storage limitation is always our limiting factor. So to add more airports to FS 2023 compared to FS 2022 we decided to increase resolution in areas with airports compared to FS 2022 and we reduced resolution in other areas. So you are correct, the resolution of the aerial images in Ireland is lower compared to FS 2022. A streaming solution would be one way to solve it, but it has it's disadvantages as well.

Why not allow users who have enough space in their phone to have the possibility of HD resolution everywhere? Because if we follow your logic, we will never be able to have a world map because it would use too much memory space

I also think it's a pity that we don't see the buildings in MIAMI anymore as it was the case with the previous versions, it was a real pleasure to made VFR flight in this area with a beautiful view of the city with buildings. In San Diego also all the buildings were removed with the version AF2023
