Graphics glitch on final approach with OpenGL

  • Hello,

a few days ago I upgraded to the AMD Adrenalin driver version 23.5.1 and had a pleasant overall experience. Especially with OpenGL, the animation seemed smoother and according to the FPS count, I get some more FPS than with Vulcan. So far, so good. I'm on 2550x1440 p with medium resolution.

But there is one thing: When practicing a final approach on EDDM's runway 08R with the A320, I get a flashing square near the center of the screen. This happens shortly before touchdown and is mildly annoying. Interestingly, it does only happen on select airports on select runways (I don't get it on EDDM's runway 08L but for example on Berlin-Brandenburg's runway 07R).

    Here are my specs:

    Dell Inspiron 7775 All-in-one system

    AMD Ryzen 7 1700 CPU

    AMD RX580 GPU with 8GB

    16 GB RAM

    Adrenalin driver version 23.5.1

    Windows 10 version 22H2, build number 19045.2965

    Aerofly FS 4 version 20230524

Thank you very much in advance!

Changed the title of the thread from “Graphics glitch on long final approach with OpenGL” to “Graphics glitch on final approach with OpenGL”.
