Tire smoke

    Are there any plans to add tire smoke? It'll add a much better realism to the sim and we can figure out when the plane has touched down while watching a landing replay at night. It seems kinda weird to see a plane touch down without any smoke.

    It won't be graphic intensive too.

    Also, on an unrelated topic, can the devs make planes a bit less shiny?

    Real life planes aren't that shiny... It feels kinda unrealistic to see a glossy plane.

    Agree. We also need realistic crash animation, maybe.

    That's a bit complicated to make it i guess, even if we already have some effects for example in the f15, at very high speed when pitching.

    And as i've asked for before a first officer in the aircraft, you never see an Airliner flying with just the captain.

    Tbh I feel like the first officer option should be optional since it will disturb the view of many instruments.

    However for this thread, can we get Tire smoke? I suppose it's easy to code?

    Whenever the wheels touch down, smoke will emerge. The intensity of the smoke will depend on the hardness on the landing.

    Nah we are talking about a flight sim not a crash sim if you wanna crash play beamng

    Of course, and maybe plane contrails when cruising also a good idea, but some people says it’ll cost system performance overall.

    Well, let's see if tire smoke will be added in future updates of AF Global.

    It already added some impossible things like 3D scenery and dynamic cockpit lighting.

    This is the most confusing part. First of all, from a technical point of view, I don’t think it involves a very complicated algorithm (it should be easy to implement).

    In the real world, when you watch an airplane land, you will clearly notice the smoke effect between the airplane's wheels and the ground. This is a natural phenomenon in physics. I don't believe developers don't know this.

    Therefore, I would like to know what the developers are thinking at this time and for what purpose? Or helpless?

    Because it's so weird.

    Because it's so weird.

    It requires a particle rendering system. So it's not just done by snipping the fingers, we need to manually code that and check it works on all devices.

    That would be lovely to see, it's probably the same deal with contrails, right? Jet-Pack (IPACS) Those would be great to have in the sim as well :) Just some suggestions, FS Global is an awesome product in itself and I'm completely happy with what we have.

    Actually, I’d love to see a camera view out of a window. You don’t have to be able to look around. Just looking out a window instead of looking out of nothing would be such an improvement to the realism.

    Yessss exactly, this is what I've been wanting for quite some time, just a window frame around the camera for the window views would be huge, no need for a modeled cabin for now!!
