When setting a compass heading from one destination to the other (I don't use the Nav. way of setting up a flight). What is the "Course" button dial and how do you use it..? Example: Heading is set at 82, What should the "Course" button/dial be set at...?

As described in the tutorial https://www.aerofly.com/aircraft-tutorials/b737ng/ the course sets the radial for a VOR or the approach course for the ILS.
That ILS approach course is often the same as the runway heading but not always.

How did I miss that in the tutorial....hmmm. I always land manually so its not something I'll ever use so..... Thank you Jet-pack.

Another thing, once everything is set and auto pilot is on and im at cruise flight, I suddenly hear every so often: "tk tk tk tk tk tk tk tk tk" like a chirping stick shaker sound. What is the cause of it...? Theres nothing in the tutorial (that I found) to indicate this...?

Hm, not sure, it doesn't really happen on my side.
Can you please try disabling one assistance feature after another and see if that sound stops?
When the autopilot is trimming the aircraft there is a sound that can be heard from the pitch trim wheels, is it that perhaps?

I think it is. Its obvious its a warning sound of some sort like im forgetting to do something or flick a switch. I have Alt set, speed set, heading set, auto pilot on, no warning lights, just cruising normally. At first I was thinking it was TCAS warning me of terrain. I was flying 15,000 ft over the alps from Milan to Munich.

Perhaps it's the overspeed warning?

Could be, but I set speed for 340 kts, just under that red band on the speed indicater. So it cant be that.....all I know is it must be a warning clicking sound. It isnt constant though. It will do it then stop for a bit, then do it again every so often. As mentioned im not getting any warning lights or nothing, everything is going as expected. I dont know what to make of it. Somethings telling me something, I just cant pin point it. Its the damedest thing. lol
Just a thought, is it possible even though I start from ready for taxi by passing a (cold and dark) start up, that im not setting the transponder for the TCAS on the lower center panel to TA/RA...?

340 is the maximum operating speed. Any tiny little gust and you are already in the overspeed. If you need to fly that fast give yourself a margin of at least 3kt or so.

I am gonna agree with you, that seems positively plausable. I think your right. So tonight when I get home, Im gonna set up a flight and set the speed to 335 kts and check that TA/RA setting too. As mentioned before I only fly by compass heading and dont use the Nav system to program a flight so the TA/RA may not be set properly too. 👍 I'll keep you posted Jet-pack. Thanks again sir.

TA/RA can't be it. That would just be a callout "traffic traffic".

Hmm, Experiment tonight with the speed then and see.
Update: Ya jet-pack, its a speed thing. I'm doing a quick hop Munich to Zurich 10,000ft @330 kts. No tk tk tk tk tk tk tk tk lol 🤣
Thank you for your help
