Junkers 52

  • Hello,

I noticed a few things with the Ju-52:

    1) The centre left and rear left passenger views are in the same place- centre left could be moved forwards

    2) Since the rear wheel is unpowered and there is no independent engine control in the mobile version, how can I taxi in a controlled manner?

    3) 2 liveries: Luftwaffe and Rimowa charter. Can we have liveries such as Lufthanas D-AQUI (D-CDLH) and a JU-AIR Switzerland aircraft?

Please share your thoughts in the comments. I'd love to hear them!

  • What altitude and speed do I need to cruise at? I tried 12'000 ft and 90KIAS (~160kmh) and it felt too slow almost. Engines were at full power and I couldn't gain any airspeed.

HB-HOT was the JU52 that crashed so now I feel kind of superstitious about flying it. Maybe another Ju-Air livery makes sense.

    Maybe this helps:

    Climb And Cruise

At a safety altitude of about 500ft (150m), the flaps can be retracted.

    • Rotate the flap wheel to retract flaps

After a maximum of 5 minutes the power needs to be reduced to protect the engines.

    • Set climb power of about 85% throttle
    • Reduce power for the cruise flight to about 70%”

    And this:

    Other:
Try in level flight stop for example the right side engine and pull this right side handle. (Or left, left of course. This function is working, but not published.)

    The result is:

A new cockpit/instrument panel should be designed for the D-CDLH plane, because the old instruments were replaced with modern ones.

  • I think I figured how to taxi easily with the JU52:

Keep engine 2 running and start engines 1/3 at the holding point (and shut them down when vacating). Having the central engine powered only allows for greater directional accuracy when throttling up. Also, the rudder is more effective and tighter turns can be made.
