Merry Christmas devs! Whenever you are all back from the holidays, can you add a lock to horizon slider for the cockpit cameras? That will add so much more to the realistic factor!

I fly airplanes in the real world and don't quite understand how this would be more realistic? After all the perceived down direction is still aligned with the cockpit and does not tilt when you fly a turn. And even a glass of water would stay level relatively to the wings as you turn, so the water level would be at an angle to the horizon. And that is exactly how the camera is currently behaving it already is realistic. What you want is probably more in line with a camera gimbal view with a fixed attitude in space. But that is not how humans perceive turns during flight, it's artificial. It would make a good cinematic shot though, that's true.

What I think would be much cooler is if the view stays level even if you tilt the device to steer.

    Regards,

    Jan

Is the IPACS team on vacation? I wasn't aware of that.

    Jet-Pack (IPACS)

The tilt of the camera is not necessary and as it is the camera itself is very realistic.

    Only look or actually move?

There is no side to side force really in a real aircraft when you fly a turn. There are only side forces when the pilot does not fly properly or when the yaw damper fails.

Jet-Pack (IPACS) could we get a free moving camera please? Especially since the textures have been significantly upgraded with fs global, a free moving camera would be awesome for walkarounds or looking out of the cockpit from a different perspective :)

You can still look around from the cockpit while flying. The angle of the external view can also be changed. Or do you mean something else?

I'm talking about a cam that is completely free from any point, unlike the normal cockpit and external cam which are fixed to a point, for example the plane or the pilot. I wish for something where you can actually set this point and look from there but I think this is a more complicated description of a totally free cam 😂

    I’d like seat height adjustment.

Me too, especially for the Cessna and A320
