New Steam Release with A321, Antares 21E, ASK-21, Winch Launch and Glider Tow

  • The Air France livery is GLORIOUS, AND ALL OF THE CHANGES/BUG FIXES I REQUESTED ARE NOW IMPLEMENTED. Thank you devs!

WIll there be a Delta A321 though? They operate over 120 of them.

Also, I'd like to know if a Jet Star livery will be created. With the IAE engines, this would be a major win since it would make domestic flying in Australia more realistic.

there is a delta a321 but no jetstar

  • Can we have a sound teaser on youtube?

In this video you can hear the sound quite well. It is with comment, but it is not really disturbing.

  • The change-log shows improved CFM sounds, but this doesn't appear to be the case.

    There doesn't appear to be.

But really, Sunclass over Jetstar? Priorities, people.

Yeah I gotta agree it sounds horrible still, because they used the old sound instead of developing from new like the IAE. I’m a little bummed out because the CFM is my favorite sounding engine on the a320 series ☹️ it should something like this

From the inside, it sounds the same— is this to be fixed?

The cfm56 engine sounds good but it lacks a bit of the starting sound, and when I move forward the sound is very similar... but the sound of the new IAEV2500 is fabulous

  • Thermals, up and downdrafts are already simulated, yes. If you fly in the Alps with a little bit of wind it's actually quite good.

Ok, great. I'll give it ago again, I uninstalled Condor 2 a while ago as I needed 50-100GB of space for a decent scenery just for one area.
Just to be sure, thermal are created under clouds, and they vary in the updraft rates?

Unfortunately the clouds in Aerofly are not yet where the thermals are. In the real world updrafts create the clouds.

  • So here are my first feedback after some flights with the A321 (trialled both engine variants) :

First flight was Malaga-Dusseldorf with the Eurowings A321 IAE, really a nice feeling, very pleasantly happy to see EPR modelled. Sounds are great, but a bit muffled imo (the IAE are true screamers). For reference if the dev team want to replicate the same flight i had a TOW of 77 tons.

Second flight was Montreal-Cancun with the Air Transat A321 CFM SL (if we could change the reg from C-GTXN to C-GEZX as GTXN is now a vietjet plane, and GEZX is its litteral sibling), with a TOW of 79.8t out of 06R, i had a CLB N1 of 100.5%, which seemed very high for a jet aircraft, but on the other hand it was giving me a climb rate of +1900fpm, which for an A321 of this load, is relatively high. The A321 has such poor climb performance due to the length of the plane yet still have the same wings as an A320.

Something i wanted to point out is the taxi on idle power. On an IAE airframe, no problem it should easily reach 20kts gnd speed without any thrust, however on the CFM, it shouldn't be able to do that, but it did. I don't know if there's a way for you to fix that, if not it's alright.

Something i found worth to be said is overall the plane is amazing, and the few bits that needs attention is more related to the modelling.

so modelling, what need to be fixed ?

The following needs a fix :

    - the DOOR page on the SD need a remodel, as the plane pictured to interact with the door still represents an A320, and there's still the possibility to "open" the cargo doors, which like Jet-Pack (IPACS) said on another thread, are not modelled.

    - the cabin call panel on the A321 is different than the one on the A320, mainly due to the fact that there's an additionnal cabin crew station in the middle part of the aircraft.

    - On the A321ceo, the PACK FLOW knob makes way for the ECON FLOW pushbutton, although on the NEO, the PACK FLOW knob comes back.

I'll attach a picture of a real A321 overhead panel for reference, and may the changes that can be made be done.

I hope this feedback will help the dev team to improve the A321, and i'll be waiting for your answer. If you have any question, either quote me or write me a private message.

once again, thanks IPACS for making this amazing addon available to us

  • Part of the CFM engine "note" on the inside is too high pitched, which is a carryover from the old sounds. It's a bit neo-ish and doesn't really sound right.

Jet-Pack (IPACS) ,Will this be fixed?

Also, why not consider a new Aer Lingus livery?

    • Official Post

How would be able to gain lift and hold it up for hours for the ladies mid air?

Just like in real life you can use thermals even without clouds. It's easier with a bit of wind in the mountains then you know where to fly (side the wind is force up and over the mountain where there is lift....)

  • Also, why not consider a new Aer Lingus livery?

Does it exist on the A321ceo yet? It might only be on the A321neo.

I've looked at pictures and a video so far, and the A321 looks fantastic.

Very very good amount of liveries too. I guess the only thing that we could benefit from would be the Jetstar A321 since there's not really any realistic liveries for domestic Australia flights.

Amazing job Aerofly developers, I'm very much looking forward to it releasing for mobile.
