Issue with waypoints beyond a certain distance on the A320

    Hi there, this is regarding a flight plan on the A320 which is by far the most comprehensive of all the models. Just a quick question.

    My issue:

    When programming a flight from KSFO to KJFK which is around 5-6 hours block time. I've noticed that beyond the SIDs and STARs, I am unable to enter more waypoints in between and have to resort to the navigation page to manually insert them.

    Just wanted to confirm if this is a limitation where waypoints beyond a certain distance aren't possible to program directly into the MCDU? Since I can easily program in waypoints on say a flight from Heathrow to Frankfurt which has a blocktime of less than 90 minutes.
