Why does the aerial map of my Boeing 787 only show the word MAP instead of the complete navigation when the inertial navigation is opened in Cold and dark mode?If you choose Push with engines on mode and Push and start mode, the chart is normal and complete. On the overhead panel you have 2 switches for the irs in the 777 it's called "adiru" you have to turn these on and wait a minute for them to align see picture below
When you don't have the IRS aligned then no position is available to the map display.
If you have aligned the inertials, you have to go to FMC, go to Init Ref, there go to position, enter the icao of the airport you are at and paste that coordinate in the empty space
