As you can see here i am at cruising ALT and at same speed 265kts but auto throttle keeps going fluctuating between 42 and 54% it cant maintain itself to keep same speed, 10% increase or decrease in throttle is alot which should not happen and i am not having strong winds or turbulences

all of them specially on a320 and a321
a380 has least fluctuation
a320 has like about 5-7%
and a321 has most around 10-12% -
Some day we will be able to skirt along the season winding inter-tropical convergence zone along the base of the stratosphere at different times of the year in Mach hold in which case this would be quite desirable. Burning off fuel would allow step climbs into constant temperature air.
