New FSWidgets map app versions

  • Dear Aerofly FS users,

the developer FSWidgets has recently updated their moving map app's for Apple iOS, macOS and Windows.

FSWidgets moving map app's are companion apps for Flight Simulators that show you a map of where you are currently flying and offer you to show aero charts as well.

FSWidgets app's are fully compatible with Aerofly FS. For a tutorial on how to connect them, have a look here.

  • Windows version is US$55. Probably worth it if you do a lot of navigation work and it's compatible with most flight sims (msfs, fsx, p3d, x-plane, aerofly fs). Only supports native FSX, FS2004 & X-Plane flight plan files. There's a free demo available.

    i9 13900K water cooled, RTX4090, Z790 MB w/wifi6e, 32Gb 6400 ram, 2x2TB SSD, 1000W PSU, Win 11, QPro w/Air Link, Vive Pro

  • I almost always fly with the FSWidget because it's more fun. So I can only recommend it.

    - Controllers: | WinWing: URSA MINOR-Fighter-Joystick R | Thrustmaster TCA AIRBUS EDITION: 1x Joystick, 2x Quadrant, 2x Quadrant Add-On | Pro-Flight-Trainer: PUMA X | Logitech: Joystick G Extreme 3D Pro | Steelseries: Nimbus+

    - iPad (12,9", 4th Generation, RAM: 6 GB); actual iOS | Steelseries: Nimbus+

  • The FSWidgets app is great - perfect for those long haul flights where I can just leave it on autopilot and check on my iPad when I get close to the destination so I can get back in VR and shoot the approach. The developer responded immediately when I had connection issues (my fault). Highly recommended…

  • What do you guys use to get your flightplan in the app? I agree the app is nice, 100% worth the price compared to all other apps with a subscription model. But the flight plan app (quickplan?) would be an additional purchase, which I don’t really understand.

Would be absolutely perfect with an easy way to just enter a flightplan, or even better: get it from Aerofly in the dataset send to the app.
