Issue with UH-60M

  • Looking for some advice from the devs please. I have the full version of AFS-4 and it is unbelievably solid but it has just developed a very strange problem recently. When I select the UH-60M from the aircraft options it takes around 60 seconds to load. When it eventually does load everything looks as it should except there is no way of interacting with the controls. You cannot grab the cyclic, collective, or touch any switches. I normally fly in VR but this also applies when in flat screen using the mouse. There appears to be some corruption in my folder for this particular aircraft. It should be noted all other aircraft work perfectly. It used to work perfectly also. I have deleted AFS-4 and done a clean install but this has not solved the issue. Anyone have a solution?

The same error also occurs in the Android mobile version.

  • I also had the error with the UH-60 in FS 4 on my Mac. I then imported the UH-60 data from a backup, which worked. Then I replaced the backup data with the current data -- and it worked. No idea why that worked, it worked.

    Configurations:

    - MacBook Pro (16", 2024); Chip: Apple M4 Max; actual macOS
    - Controllers: | WinWing: URSA MINOR-Fighter-Joystick R | Thrustmaster TCA AIRBUS EDITION: 1x Joystick, 2x Quadrant, 2x Quadrant Add-On | Pro-Flight-Trainer: PUMA X | Logitech: Joystick G Extreme 3D Pro | Steelseries: Nimbus+

    - iPad (12,9", 4th Generation, RAM: 6 GB); actual iOS | Steelseries: Nimbus+

  • Thanks Michael for your help unfortunately I don't have a backup to try this with. I use Steam and when you backup via Steam the files seem to be converted into some proprietary format which prevents copying. I will try another install onto a different drive and copy from that. It is a very strange problem that it only affects that aircraft.

  • I first copied the uh60 files into my user directory as uh60x so as not to change the original STEAM files during testing. You can fly with the uh60x version if you make the 8 files that start with "uh60" (e.g. "uh60.tmc") start with "uh60x" (e.g. "uh60x.tmc").

  • That's right, there was also a current download for the helicopter on the iPad.:)
