On mobile it is not recommended to change files yourself. It can easily cause issues and crashes if you don't know exactly what you are doing.
Also with the latest version the game checks the local file size against the server file size and detects if an airplane was updated by us if the file sizes don't match exactly. It then prompts the user to download the airplane to get the latest version. And if you have done any modifications the file size you basically will just see a download button and the game will download the original files again.

Oh that's the reason why I keep on losing my 739 and max 9 everytime I modify the cockpit view to make it a little bit higher. It looks nicer like this
