Question: when developing aircraft do you always develop the longest version or is it just for this one because I’ve noticed with the 78-77 they’re the longest of their type. If so why do you chose the longest?

As we explained earlier we model the longer version first because that version requires the most space on the texture to fit all the windows and fuselage area. When the longest version can be mapped to the textures then removing sections of the fuselage (shrinking) only leaves space on the texture unused. If we were to start with the smaller version first we would have to squeeze in the additional fuselage sections and the quality would deteriorate or we would have to start from scratch and literally waste months of development time.

judging by the overall length im going to guess this is a -900 although wouldnt be surprised given what jan said further up if the -1000 is coming too, probably before the baby 359. either way, ITS A 350 :)))

True but I like to speculate but either way Im still happy we are getting an a350 the version doesn't really matter to me and IPACS are doing an amazing job creating all these things for us users
