Development Teaser: A350 work in progress

  • Would it be possible to confirm the development of the -1000 only or if there's a -900 being kept under wraps?

I'd assume it would be easier to simply complete an aircraft family before moving on the next one, similarly to the cases of the 787 and 737 being left to rot, wouldn't it?

I think you tapped into the frustration. All the airliners currently in the sky the A350 makes no sense, I can’t think of many that would want it over a 777-200 even, or the rest of a variants we currently have available

  • I still want to see a 787-9

I'll always be here, waiting in the shadows…

Solely for the Boeing 737-800, 777-200ER (GE90), B787-9, and now A350-900 (new WL)

-I wonder why the new winglets are being included on the -1000 when ALL A35Ks receive flatter, rounder winglets from the factory?

Kind regards, good day, and bon vol!

  • I'm convinced that 90% of customers wouldn't notice any difference between the old and new sharklets. And even if you tell them beforehand more than 50% would probably not be able to tell the difference. What they would notice is if their favorite airline is in the sim or not. So I think the time is better spent adding more liveries than adding the correct sharklets for few specific ones. That being said, we do not rule out to model both winglet types in the future but right now the focus is on getting the aircraft finished and add these smaller differences later. There is still a lot to be done on the inside and even though work is progressing with each day it's still a complex aircraft with many individual parts and systems and has a lot of features that we would like to add which would make it much more enjoyable.

This is just a temporary mistake. The A350-1000 has never had a new wing tip, and the new wing tip suitable for the A350-900 is not suitable for the A350-1000. However, the issue of incorrectly installing new wing tips for A350-1000 will be corrected.

Can you read through what the developers said in full,

However, this does sound a bit strange. We cannot rule out the possibility of simulating two types of wingtips in the future. ①Does this mean installing new and old wingtips for -900 in the future, ②or only installing new wingtips for -900, and installing original wingtips for -1000. I hope it's an explanation for the second reason

As mentioned before, the 350s produced before 2018 used the first generation winglet, (flatter, rounder winglets), and all the 350s produced after 2018 used the second-generation winglet, which is more aerodynamic. The modeling in the game is the latest one.

  • Just a little bit curious about the latest update about the a350. It looks like there is a missing HUD panel. I got a pic of the HUD lightness panel pic, pls check out the attached photo. Overall the latest pic is incredible, love to see the chart on ND, just like the real a350. (If you can make the standby flight instrument like the real a350 that’ll be amazing! With the curve and showing QNH with inhg and hpa )

That's why I wrote WIP on the image, it's not not done yet and will be addressed before the release.

Like we said before most users won't be able to tell the difference between the old and new sharklet and therefore we will probably keep the new sharklets for now. There are more important things that still need our attention.

  • The taxi camera is already working, yes. Just like in the A380, and 777-300ER the camera is only available on desktop computers because it requires the whole world to be rendered a second time and mobile devices would not have the necessary performance for that.

For the same reason the airport tarmac rendering may not work on mobile. It's a lot of data that needs processing during each rendering frame which might cause too low FPS, but we will have to test and decide from there. So not sure yet.

I do feel as this is a bit unfair for some mobile users who's devices would actually be able to run thses things , I feel like it would be better to release it with it and if it doesn't work out we could always turn down the graphics settings then again I'm not telling you how to run your game I'm just adding a point of view

That's not unfair, it's just not supported by most devices. Nothing we can do there.

  • So what you're saying is we'll just have a black screen like we do riht now on the A380

No, please read what I wrote. Just the apron areas on the map may be missing. But even that is not definitive yet, it could also be included on mobile, but we will need to test it first, like I said. Runways are already possible and already in the game right now, so it's not going to be a blank map at all.

    Does this work?

The flex before toga sounds so good in the vid😩😩

All A35Ks use the flatter winglets irrespective of their age. Just have a look at the new Air Caraïbes and Ethiopian A350s that are less than 3 months old.

Kind regards, good day, and bon vol!

Will they be properly applied to a -900? Again, for any livery source material (especially AF and Delta) please do not hesitate to contact me for photos.

Kind regards, good day, and bon vol!

  • This is what the A350 front panel currently looks like in the developer build. There are a lot of new features shown here and I hope we can include all of them in the initial release but keep in mind that they are work in progress. Some things like the rendering of the airport tarmacs on the map may not be included in the initial release.

Hi ! Will we also see the OANS integrated into the current A320 Family ?
