A320 series CFM sound

  • Thanks, IPACS. The A319 looks great, but I have to say I’m very disappointed you didn’t improve the CFM sounds. I genuinely don’t understand why you can’t get them to sound decent like the IAE or the CFM on the 739. Any A320 series with the CFMs sound so awful that I have to avoid flying any livery that has them, which is ridiculous; it literally overlaps the callouts on approach, and you can barely hear them. In my opinion, you should just scrap the current sound and get new ones. I know that getting and remixing sounds isn’t easy; I know a few people provided you with sounds, but it doesn’t look like anything is being done. The current CFM sounds nothing like the real thing. Why can’t you put out the same effort into the CFMs for the A320 series that you did for the IAE and CFM for the 739, which sound decent? I’ve even seen videos from 12 years ago from an old flight sim that has a way better CFM sound than what you have now. It’s a little silly that you can’t get it right when a sim from 12 years ago sounds better than one that’s almost a year old. I’m not saying we need fenix level sounds because you obviously don’t have the resources, but you can do such a better job. A response would be great.🤷‍♂️

  • Yeah the CFM engines in Aerofly lacks that “buzz” the 737-900ER and IAE A320 Family engines have

  • We can't just use a sound recording and play that in the sim. To get a decent sound you need to extract the sound sources and modulate them correctly. Otherwise you just end up with the same issues like that sim you used 12 years ago where the sound suddenly cuts into a different section and has almost no modulation other than playing it faster.

The 737 NG sound was an experiment for me to see what can be possible. It took a month of work though if not more.

Doing that now for the A320 family (A319, A320 and A321) would delay the ongoing development of the A350.

  • Well it's taken from real world recordings so I might have to adjust that towards more bass and lower the highs.

That would literally be perfect it whines way too much, also just a quick question I noticed you guys removed the grey mask around the 319 for the livery’s that don’t have it why didn’t yall do the same for the 320,321? And yall also didn’t tilt the front cockpit windows but it’s looks much better now with the mask removed I just wished you did it for the rest of the airplanes

*offtopic* There’s any chances to see in the future A320/321 Neo?
