I’m not sure if this is just in the mobile version, or my simulator not loading in properly but the ground textures at Kansai are missing even though the modeled airport is actually in the simulator.

Kansai International Airport is located on an artificial island like this. I don't know if it's a characteristic of artificial islands, but it's probably not displayed due to a bug specific to artificial islands.
