Hi. Is it planned for terrain and weather radar systems to be added in the future?
Weather and terrain radar

As long as there are no rain and thunderstorms implemented it would not make much sense to add a weather radar.

In real life, wind speeds usually increase with higher flight levels, so that there it is f. e. in FL350 at 70 or 90 knots. But the speeds in Aerofly FS4 are the same as on the ground, what is a little funny, when I look at the ND during the flight. On Airbus models the higher wind speeds will also cause, that the route is displayed more with an angle the higher the tail wind speed is, like in reality.
So, maybe this could be implemented in future versions: the higher the flight level the higher the wind speed?

We are working on many projects in the background and weather is one of them.

If Greta T. prevents climate change, only the sun will shine. So yes, it will probably rain at some point 😂👍

Hello, what a teaser ! Have you an estimated delay, at that point ?
.... Thanks for this information !

We are all very excited about this news! anyway I am enjoying now flying with good weather and beautiful sky.
Waiting for more information
to come.

What about terrain radar?

However, they said that the weather is not that easy. If it works at some point, it will be a big step for the simulation 👍

We've already been working on this in the background for more than 5 years.
So no, we don't have any time estimation. -
What weather is needed, Milky Way, lightning, or aurora?

It just means it's not a priority project that we're working on full time. Like with many projects we're continue with it in the background. And only when a project has reached a state that we can release do we announce that the feature is actually coming to the sim. So right now we haven't announced anything yet because it's just something we're working on in the background...

it's not a priority project
Don’t get me wrong, as I have no negative intentions behind my question, but in a flight sim like Aerofly, which is super realistic in many aspects, how does the weather system become a non-priority project? In my opinion, a weather system is a significant feature in every realistic flight simulators for several reasons. I’m just genuinely curious about the reasoning behind IPACS choice to categorise this as non-priority-project.
