Consider Mexico's Airports

  • Hello, The question is directed to the developers. Kindly, do you think that in the near future you can give Mexico the attention it needs? It has two of the most important airports in America. The United States is really a very flat place, there is not much to see despite having a lot of attention to detail, it is appreciated.
It would be a great addition of content for the America DLC.

But Mexico has all the ecosystems and practically the most interesting topographies. Not to mention the difficulty of some of its airports.

Primarily to consider 2 Airports, MEX and CUN.
Another that could be of great interest is NLU is the new Mexico City Airport, it plans to replace MEX with all kinds of certifications.
I consider that with those two we could make better flights to the south of the continent. Thank you in advance

You are absolutely right, Mexico is a great country, one of the most visited by tourists in the world, and the aerofly community is huge in Mexico, I consider these airports to be the main ones, MMMX, Cancún, Los Cabos, Tijuana, Guadalajara, Monterrey, AIFA

  • I have been working on several Mexican airports using IPACS internal Airport creation tool but I don´t know if one day they are going to be published as they are or used as a base for true 3D modelled versions of those airports with custom terminal buildings, jetways, control towers, etc.

I also don´t know if I can share that work to other people for example like this:

MMMM Morelia Airport scenery - Flight-Sim.org
Morelia airport (MMMM) is missing from the default streaming big airports in my country (México), so I decided to somewhat recreate it using X-Plane WED…
    flight-sim.org

which was made manually editing a TAP file, not with IPACS airport creation tool

You can publish the airfields created by you with the Airport CreationTool (ACT) on Flight-Sim.org, as long as you have not assigned the rights to others. I have now published hundreds of airfields created by me in the ACT on Flight-Sim.org and others have also created this.

  • I still have the task of writing the FAQs for TAP, TSL and TOC files. First of all, the hint how the PushBack function can be set at airfields:

    • In the TAP file, "parked_jet" must be replaced manually by "pushback" before converting.
    Code
                        <[tm_airport_pd_parking_position][element][0]
                            <[vector2_float64][position][-99.084731647318 19.433171948307]>

  • I would like to thank the IPACS team for including two of the main Mexican Airports, MMMX and MMUN in their latest update, they are very detailed airports and their main terminals are custom 3D modeled.

If I have spare time this weekend I'll try to upload some more Mexican airports created by me on the Airport creation tool to Flight-Sim.org. MMMZ, MMTJ, MMSD, MMAA, MMBT and MMOX are among them so you can try several interesting domestic flights in my country.
