One new feature wish for FS4 in 2025 - poll

  • Hi, I am curious of the community wishes for Aerofly FS4 in 2025.

    If you could ask for only one realistic to implement new feature for the sim, to be added on next year, what would you ask for?

    My vote goes for fuel consumption and payload.

    Waiting for your wishes!

    Best regards, Juan

    Edited once, last by Jugac64: Added payload to my wish :-) (December 13, 2024 at 2:55 PM).

  • Please stop making wish on new aircraft’s, otherwise this sim will never grow.

    IMHO, the sim needs more need actual novelties in the simulation features to improve the immersion and realism of the sim:

    World and Scenery:

    * More complex weather system.
    * Water masking and rendering.
    * Road masking and live ground traffic (we used to have them in the old AFS2 Florida scenery but somehow don’t see any progress for years).
    * Better (more accurate and various) building autogen. The current autogen model style looks good in some European countries like Germany, but as the map is extending to the whole world, those autogens can look strange. In addition, there are many incorrectly placed buildings or trees around the airport which look very strange.
    * Terrain in the airports: bumps are everywhere between runways and taxiways in many major airports around the globe.
    * More realistic lights (runway, runway threshold, taxiway, street)

    System Depth (add to existing aircraft)

    * Fuel and payload.
    * ATC and radio system.
    * More functional FMC.

    Details that add immersions

    * Particle effects.
    * Better visual or auditory effects, e.g, touchdown feedback, sound of the gears and aircraft body shacking when the plane is moving on the ground. More realistic vibrations at the wing tips etc.

    I understand that many of these features take massive resources to research and could be much more difficult to achieve comparing with making a shorter variation of the A320. And I understand that the focus of Aerofly is on the mobile end and some of these features can be to demanding. But I really enjoy the easy flying experience in Aerofly and hope to continue enjoying it but with a bit more immersion.

  • I also hope for more features instead of more content.

    • Have the functionality of the Wettergerät integrated into AFS4 like setting time & date, synchronization of time & date to system clock, having meaningful units for weather settings and an option for synchronisation with real METAR data.
    • Saving and restoring of custom missions via the local file system. Maybe even restoring from other file formats - like the Missionsgerät does. (Could be a way to add SimBrief support.)
    • And more features in the custom missions, like waypoint events (text / audio on reaching a given waypoint for instance) and required waypoints you need to pass before further waypoints will be checkable). Could be useful for guided tours, tutorials or racing.
  • The following statements are purely personal speculations

    The slope observed at the airport is caused by low precision elevation data, while the irregular coastline lacks higher precision ground texture data. Randomly tampering with these data may lead to confusion in the terrain database. Airport data and terrain data are completely different. An effective solution is to replace them with higher precision data, replacing global data with higher resolution, such as 3-meter resolution, which may require significant funds to purchase and obtain commercial use licenses,

    IPACS does not have surveying satellites, and bearing these costs would incur significant costs, such as balancing income and expenses

    The above statements are purely personal speculations

  • No, seriously, so many features could be added instead of a plane, so many small quality of life features

  • I can only agree with that
