  • Hi all,

my Aerofly FS4 runs well except the following bug which I cannot solve:

I've assigned keys to the adjustment of the views so i.e. in the german interface "umschauen", to the left and right and up and down.

And than I press a key to make a little adjustment and sometimes suddenly it doesn't stop and it goes further and further until the end.

And than it's hard to get it back because the view is completely off after this action. Abolutely annoying, it happens during a landing procedure and I cannot see anymore what I do.

Than a minor problem: Have no Copilot visible from outside in any aircraft even not the jets.

And another minor problem: I cannot find the DME 2 display in the Lear Jet, I have the pointer but not the distance.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all of you! :)

Have it just running on the other screen over Baltimore, the scenery looks very good.

    Cheers

    Andreas

  • It supposed to be an issue that affects all keyboard assigned controls. It’s hardly handled by using opposite action just after short pressing the same control (that I can observe). I’m sick with that all over a week.

Hope, the issue will be fixed after Holidays.

    Have a great day everyone.

    And Happy Holidays 🎅

  • Hi all,

the "view adjustment" bug happens all the time now and drives me crazy.

Obviously this is not of interest because I don't get any answer here.

  • Moin,

I do not have the error with the views in the version FS 4 version 4.06.05.06 (20241216) on the Mac. That's why I can only speculate.

Possibly a double assignment of the keyboard keys or a parallel assignment of the views by keyboard and controller could be the trigger for the view axes.

Sometimes it helps to deactivate the files gc-main.mcf in the user directory (e.g. by adding "___OFF" in the file name) and see if the error still exists. For more information, see

The issue related to PC version. There is no double assignment. All keyboard controls are affected. It seems like recursion call of certain command. Was trying to the 4.05 beta version on PC — all the same.

All worked fine before most recent update

    Current version installed:

    4.06.05.08 (20241218)

  • Possibly a double assignment of the keyboard keys

    Thank you Michael.

I have no double assignments, this is always announced in the screen and I can avoid it.

And i have no file gc-main.mcf, I have a file gc-map.mcf which is for the controllers and it's

not recommended to delete or deactivate it but do changings in the interface. But there are no buttons assigned to views at all.

Currently I cannot use the sim anymore. I have version 4.06.05.08 (20241218).

  • Something is really misconfigured on your side. Please delete the gc-map.mcf file it includes all the assignment configurations for all controllers. After deleting it, please report if it's working again. Then you can start to reassign the controls. It might also be helpful to see your tm.log file, it's at the same location as the gc-map.mcf file. It shows us what input devices are detected by Aerofly FS.

  • Your Windows Documents folder is using Windows cloud 'onedrive'

So what does that mean? You log into my computer from outside or what? How does that work?

I have onedrive running but thats not the normal documents folder where the Aerofly files are stored.

I have assigned a keyboard, a mouse and a joystick or 2 joysticks to use one for the collective seperately.

This is the logfile, at this moment only one joystick is connected.

  • I think I will next connect a new keyboard to the system because it's all caused by keyboard commands and the keyboard

is in heavy use since a lot of years.

  • Agree with You. My keyboard is also over decade in use.

It's not the keyboard, I have a new one connected, no difference. Also deleted a few more shortcuts, no difference.

But I found the following: In the moment when it happens press the opposite key and it stops.

And while holding this key press the first key again and now you can release both keys and it stands still again..

Not yet 100 % sure about this but I'll try it now.

Yeah, have observed this also. And this initiating by holding the control even shortly rather than rapidly pressing the one.

Although the issue doesn’t have a wide distribution, I guess.
