Does anyone knows how to apply reverse thrust with Airbus TCA throttle quadrant?

  • Moin,

I also have a Mac and use 2 Airbus TCA Quadrants with the two addons on this one.

During the necessary calibration, you must make sure that you move the thrust levers right around.

During operation, my experience is to move all switches and levers once over their complete length of movement after each start of the FS 4, so that everything is correctly synchronised.

If you may find the fine-tuning of certain lever positions not exactly enough, you can correct this in the gc-map.mcf (text file), but it is a little tricky.

  • This is what I used to do when I was an Aerofly user:

In Aerofly, at the time of phase 1 of calibration, move the FLAPS and SPEED BRAKE levers in all their amplitude, but for the throttles do not go further than between FLEX and TOGA from IDLE:

Then, in phase 2 of the calibration, center FLAPS on 2 and SPEED BRAKE on 1/2 and THROTTLE on CLIMB (this phase actually seems to have no effect).

This method makes it possible to fully engage the CL trigger, but on the other hand makes it more delicate, but very correct, the engagement of the FLEX notch. However, it is less evil than losing the A/THR in mid-flight!

    Thank you for your advice.

I did a calibration for many times, but every time I calibrate, the reverse detents aren't making any signals to assignment settings:(

  • Thank you so much for giving me a perfect instruction.

And just to confirm, Is it impossible to assign reverse thrust on axis X and Y?

Or should I assign another axis for reverse thrust?

  • Or should I assign another axis for reverse thrust?

I do no longer remember. But, I think reverses simply work after my little tutorial. As you calibrate from idle to mid flex/toga, when using it going above idle for reverse, it should trigger the reverses.

    I begin to forget seriously.

  • For me it works as it should. As I remember, it is important to always start from idle when configuring:

    • Thrust configuration (Axes "X" and "Y"): push the lever forward from idle

    • Reverse configuration (Axes "Reverse 1" and "Reverse 2"): pull the lever backwards from idle

    At reverse are also switched
    - Button 12
    - Button 16

    Wow

After the all these method, I finally figured out what was wrong with my TCA throttle,When I checked the TCA thrustmaster Driver soft, I found that my [Enable virtual button] check box were empty, So that is the reason why my button 12 and 16 didnt work properly.

I really appreciate both of you for helping me constantly.

Finally I can fly properly with my throttle, Thank you so much guys and have a wonderful holiday!!:)
