Inputs when sim paused?

  • Hi,

I'm an avid flightsimmer who uses either X-plane, MSFS or Aerofly almost every day.

One of the things I really miss in Aerofly is the ability to make inputs when the sim is paused.

Is this feature on the list of future updates?

P.S. when it comes to VR and user-friendliness Aerofly is the best sim!8)

  • I think it’s referring to how in xp some buttons can be configured when paused, and reinstated changes will occur after unpausing. (Example: pause -> set up cockpit for final -> unpause -> system changes)

Well this is example isn't really necessary in Aerofly because if you select the final approach from the location menu then the aircraft already is fully set up for approach...

Indeed it is when you start your flight on final approach.

However when you have to look for a frequency / set up a aircraft your not familiar with for approach etc... during a flight from A to B, it's very handy to be able to pause the aircraft in the air, check whatever you have to do in the manual, push and turn the right knobs and the unpause the sim with everything set as it should for that phase of the flight.

Particularly if you mainly fly the aircraft in VR...

In MSFS it's called "active pause" and in XP it's just the default setting.

  • Real life doesn't give you that, either do it at a safe height to allow for distraction drift or engage the auto pilot.

Neither does real life give you infinite fuel, static weather, the same ZFW on every flight, an AIRAC cycle that never? updates etc... this is Aerofly.

I'm sorry but your reply is pointless in my humble opinion.

As I understand the concept of Aerofly it is not meant for "die hard" simming but rather for enjoyment without too "complicated and cumbersome preps".

That's what my request regarding "active pause" is about.

Maybe we will get it one day, Rome wasn't built in a day 🖖

You got it all, and I prefer this, rather than MSFS 20 and 24. with excessive bugs.
I still fly with these 2 gas factories, but only for the quality of the graphics. :)

"For better or for worse" ;)
