We can't include more "free" data due to the limited app size limit in the app stores. And any download of additional data hosted on our servers costs money for us, that is what the subscription cost is covering.

The issue is compatibility here. Right now we can easily distribute updates and fixes automatically. If we had fixed regions again then you would have to re-download many gigabytes perhaps multiple times and you would not be able to just start the flight, you would have to wait for the update to finish. This is not very user friendly and it also adds a lot of work for us and additional cost.

So, I understand that in the Switch version, the data is hosted on Nintendo servers, hence there is no subscription model on that platform. Is this correct?
