Can i assume that an aircraft is somewhere in the pipeline to be released as a playable aircraft if i encounter it as one of the AI traffic aircraft. I have just come across a TBM900.

Your asking for a "find it & unlock it" system?

No, im just asking. If there is a 3d model for a specific aircraft could it indicate that “maybe” there is a chance of the aircraft being playable at some point in the games life. The reason i’m asking is because i’ve seen this happen with the Robin DR400… okay yes, the DR400 had a more advanced 3D model than the stock standard AI Traffic, but you get where im going with this.

The AI models have a very low number of vertices, less than 5 or maybe 10 thousand and a single 2k or 4k tedture. Compare this to the model of the 787 or upcoming A350 with close to 400 thousand vertices with modeled cockpits and 50+ high resolution textures.
So each new aircraft that you can fly needs a new model, the traffic models are not useful in any way. Just because you see them as traffic does not mean anything.

Okay great, thanks a lot for the clarification.
so they are very basic models which in the event of that aircraft becoming a playable aircraft you would have to redevelop the aircraft from the ground up.
Ive been wondering about this for some time now.
