Can the airport taxiway lighting be completed this year

  • If Mexico and South America have not yet completed testing (apparently not updated), can you prioritize updating the lighting

Some airports had all the lights, some didn't have blue lights, some didn't have green lights, some airports had no lights at all, and some airports used to have them but now don't

When will they be completely unified

  • Yes, almost every airport lost either blue or green or all taxiway lights when Aerofly mobile moved from FS 2024 to FS Global.

For example, KLAX, KSFO, and KJFK lost green taxiway lights. KBOS lost blue taxiway edge lights. EDDF completely lost both types of lights.

Myself and others are still curious to know why this happened. Is it really performance optimization? Or a mistake?

Only a few airports still have both green and blue lights, such as Denver, Miami, and Tenerife, so it seems more like a mistake?

It’s a huge shame this happened because FS Global also introduced city lights everywhere. I was hoping to get the full nighttime experience with all types of lights, but only a few cities can achieve this.

  • My guess

This has little to do with performance, as taxiway lighting has little impact on fps, otherwise we wouldn't have seen so many street lights. The nature of taxiway lighting and streetlights is the same, which I call static false light sources. If you have watched videos of airplanes taxiing at night. These green lights will reflect onto the glass, so there is no need to worry about this issue in Aerofly, as the taxiway lights do not reflect at all. They only provide one color to mark nighttime routes, which may be due to file loss, but this issue has been present for several years

Either it was not generated or the file was lost. Before af2024, the lighting was also incomplete,

In fact, the problem of file loss does exist, just like when the moon disappears and users describe it as file loss, there may actually be some malfunctions and conflicts

But almost all airports released last year did not have blue lights,

    This could be another reason

    No production or other reasons
