Future scenery dlc plans ?

  • I'm wondering if there are any dlc plans for terrain scenery, like the packs that came with AFS4 ( USA#1 etc ), the reason I ask is because I will be moving soon to a new place and internet will be very restricted and I might not be able to stream terrain data ?

  • Now that we already have global scenery it's unlikely that new DLCs will be added. It's much easier to use the global scenery streaming because it enables us to publish scenery updates without the users having to wait for Gigabytes to finish downloading and installing every month or so. Each DLC adds more time to manage the content and we'd rather spend time developing than trying to update 100s of DLCs.

That makes sense, I will just fly in the already developed areas and add user content for other areas then. Thanks for clarifying :)

  • Jugac64 , Big mistake on my part, please excuse me, indeed after several tests in different places, no difference with the streaming of global landscapes activated, as JetPack has well pointed out.

On the other hand, it would be preferable for IPACS to remove this DLC pack on Steam in order to no longer spend money unnecessarily, since they certainly no longer plan to continue, it would save newcomers' wallets.

And all that remains is to find the right loggers to clean these beautiful hills. :)

"For better or for worse" ;)

    Regards

The DLC was released before global streaming was a thing and we can't delete content that you already purchased. The DLC is now mostly used for offline gameplay and low speed internet.
