R-22 helicopter controls

  • This video shows the control of the R-22 helicopter. First, the collective, second, the cyclic (aileron, elevator), and third, the antitorque (rudder) effects on the pitch angles of the blades. For better illustration, the engine is stopped. The video also shows how beautifully detailed is presented the Robinson in this simulator.

Flown this irl a tip I suggest to newer players is one this is a very sensitive helicopter even worst than my ex

Two don’t slam your Collective to full bring it up slowly and get yourself use to it otherwise when you take it too fast just like another Ex it will go crazy and send you in circles

Three try to use a bit of rudder to maintain yourself in a set angle a tip I recommend which I was forced to do when I was being trained was to hover and use rudder to turn left and right followed by setting yourself on a certain heading for a short period this would get you used to the feeling of the heli:)

    Best,

    War

And one more thing: the best way to learn to fly a helicopter is while hovering. It is advisable to practice this near a vertical object, because even the slightest movement is immediately noticeable.

All due respect to your Singaporean instructor, but tell him that in the mobile version of the Aerofly simulator there are no tall objects other than buildings. And if you think this video deserves another penalty, feel free to add it to the others. Hehehehe...
