Starting yesterday, anytime I tried to run VR mode the game would not even start up. I tried multiple things such as: changing the betas, Freeing up over 50GB of space, restarting my pc, changing the SteamVR beta, Uninstalling and reinstalling the game. This has never happened before, and for some reason the game starts fast without vr, but when loading in vr the game will show the loading screen and then freeze my pc for 2-4 minutes. I know my pc can run this game smoothly in vr (done it in the past) does anyone have any info? and is this happening to anyone else??

It will sometimes crash steamVR too

As I said in another post, I have the perception that something changed in the sim in the last update(s) that it is not working well with VR.

In normal monitor view it works great as usual, with everything setup at the maximum in 1080p resolution, 144Hz and 60fps restriction.

    Best regards, Juan

Yeah, let's hope it gets fixed soon (if that is the issue) but it's good to know that I'm not only one dealing with these issues

We haven't published any update recently that did changes to the VR rendering. Can you double check if maybe other drivers got updated or are properly installed. Can we see the output of the tm.log after AeroFly FS crashes? File is located at 'Documents/Aerofly FS 4/tm.log'

I do not see the "tm.log" but I'm assuming you mean "tm" and do you just want me to send the entire file, or send a few screenshot of it?

Also, if you do need me to send the file, is it safe to do in a public thread or should I dm you?

I've no issues with crashes. I'm playing on SteamVR via Virtual Desktop with my Quest 3, Windows 11, RTX 2080. I had the DLC hi-res packs installed but uninstalled it again because it didn't add much but it felt like it had a negative impact on the framerate. No crashed though with the DLC too.

I don't have crashes either, I have only noticed that in VR there it is more GPU workload now, her it is an example. It seems that GPU 3D usage and GPU workload has increased, and my GPU can easily reach 150-250W. It seems to me that before it had less workload, but maybe I am wrong.

    Best regards, Juan

For me it's not a hardware issue (I monitored it while starting the game)

I've tried almost everything, I've completed lost my patience. The only thing I can do is hope they someho fix the issue in the next update. I've spent hours over the past few days trying to fix the issue, but nothing has happened.

Hi Blake, did you sent the tm file as requested?

Are you using Onedrive with your sim folder?

    Best regards, Juan

I suspect you have onedrive or a similar cloud backup solution for the arrows that appears next to your files. If this is the case, you should not use it with your applications.

    Best regards, Juan

I'll try that to see if that's the issue

Sorry, it was my mistake, I had the FPS in unlimited mode. After setting them in max 60 fps, and using SSW in Virtual Desktop with 72Hz target refresh (36fps thanks to SSW), I have the usual low workload of my GPU with the sim. Thanks!

    Best regards, Juan
