does fs global mobile support 120hz ?

  • Do things change all that fast in a flight sim especially in the only worthwhile sim’ view, one of the (front) pilot seats? I think we can largely ignore the gamers’ strange obsession with high frame rates.

Over many generations of MS flight sim most ordinary users were content with slightly better settings and lower frame rates, with graphics centred MS FS5.1 onwards less than 20 fps was common using respectable PCs (which always became hopelessly obsolete every 18 months).

My 120 fps iPad Pro M1 8 GB tops at 60 fps in Aerofly but I always use it with limited frame rates.

  • I found the sim much less responsive to touch screen inputs with ‘Limit frame rate NO’ selected.

With the 737-900 changing the VOR/ADF switches on the EFIS panels in the glare-shield is almost impossible with unlimited frames when the sim complexity is really high, that is night, cloud, route, nav aids, auto pilot on and near an airport or city etc.

Finger swipe switches in the sim can be exasperating at times, perhaps running the sim at 60 FPS can make a negative impact on input responsiveness?
