It’s been like 2 months and I still haven’t received the new airports like Mexico City that have been announced for what feels like ages. I don’t wanna seem inpatient, I just want to know what happened to this update. Thanks!

The new airports were published in today's latest update. Didn't get them? Check the blog that IPACS published about the new airports already being available.
