I try, and try to land the A320, and A319 and struggle. The A321 handles perfectly and same with the 737s, but I just can’t land the 320 and 319 even after trying over and over. If anyone has any tips please tell me!

Anyone have any tips on how to land A320 and A319?

What exactly are you struggling with? Please explain in more detail what is going wrong?

I usually end up over flaring and float down the runway, or flare too late and make a hard landing. My sensitivity for the controls are at the lowest possible.

use a usb playstation controller with cell phone holder! it works great.

Land at flaps 4, 140 knots for the A320 (138kt A319, 146kt A321), maintain around 0-3 degrees for approach descent
Once at 70ft, from 70 to 50ft slowly reduce throttle (ex 25% at 70ft to 22% at 50ft)
At 30ft cut throttle completely, and from 15ft to 5ft flare up to 5 degrees max (the A320 family is pretty floaty from what I've noticed). Maintain it until 0ft, then do the touchdown procedure
I use analog, and also set it to zero sensitivity. This is what works for me

Here's a landing i did recently. I did pretty much everything I said above. Feel free to pause for closer looks

Thanks, I will definitely be trying it out! 👍

or just don't float

or just don't float
What? That’s the problem I’m facing, floating. This doesn’t make sense.

Airliners usually touch down at VREF, which is 30% above stall speed. That means you should not try to float above the runway for long, you basically have to fly the plane into the runway a bit. Standard procedure for the A320 is reducing thrust to idle at 20ft above ground and add a slight elevator up command. Try aiming for a somewhat firm touch down first and if you can do that consistently whilst hitting the touch down zone on the runway you can try and reduce the sink rate before touchdown if conditions permit it, i.e. long enough runway, little or no crosswind, low wind gusts, etc.

Thanks everyone for their advice, I’ve been able to make much better landings now!

Hey, sorry for the late response,
ZK Aviation already gave you a lot of great tips.
Id suggest, that if you struggle with your thrust management go activate auto thrust. Set it to 138-135 knots or so, since you are a person that rather floats select lower approach speeds than the norm. This will increase the vertical speed but with a good float youll compensate that.
And last but not least, after callout 20 cut your thrust to idle. This will automatically deactivate the auto thrust so no need to worry when using it. It helps and its also realistic! Almost all A320 landings are flown with A/T;)

You can also land Ryanair style if you like.😂
