Introducing AI Copilot FlyShirley.com for Aerofly FS4 (only Windows for now)

  • I'm excited to announce that we've developed a tool that enables Shirley - the aviation AI assistant from Airplane.team - to work with Aerofly FS4!

What does this mean for you?

    - A voice-activated AI copilot that understands aviation
    - Real-time assistance and training during your flights
    - Shirley can help with flight planning, maneuvers, and aircraft management

Currently, the ForeFlight-Shirley Bridge application only works directly on Windows computers. This is due to a technical limitation with how Aerofly FS4 handles network ports on macOS. On macOS, Aerofly FS4 binds exclusively to the same UDP port (49002) that it uses for broadcasting ForeFlight data. This prevents any other application on the same Mac from listening to that port, including our bridge application. Windows handles port binding differently, which is why the bridge works without issues on Windows systems. It is possible we will have a solution for this in the future.

Please read the complete instructions and download the bridge file to communicate Aerofly FS4 with Fly Shirley from:

I have been using Fly Shirley AI service for several months and been an active member in their Discord forum, where I asked the devs to help me doing an integration of Shirley with the flight simulator AFS4. And here we are :), they are very nice persons and real pilots.

The beginning may be a little complex, but when you make it work, you will have an interesting experience sharing your fly with an aviation AI asistance. I think it is worth the effort.

(I don't receive any money for doing this, I just like to colaborate with software I am interested in)

  • This is a great idea of connecting external services to AFS to teach you flying. A robust way to integrate more interaction into AFS4.

Just think of more fun stuff we could integrate this way like guided tours, public flight trackers or even ATC.

    Thanks Jugac64 for your efforts.

  • Hi, this project was moved to a GitHub repository. In the future, when we have some data exchange functionality in the sim and we can get more navigation and aircrafts data, we will update this to offer more interactive features, like making aware the AI of the aircraft instruments.

    Best regards, Juan
