The AppStore version unfortunately usually takes longest to be updated, partly because of the thorough app review process. We usually update the Steam version first and see if that runs stable on Windows, Mac and Linux and make corrections as necessary, sometimes multiple iterations. But the update process on Steam is pretty much instantly without delay. Once we are happy with the results and we see that the software runs well we do a single update to the AppStore version, which then has to go through the full app review process by actual human beings.
