I just wanted to try the new flagship in Aerofly FS4 but I could not fly the A350 in VR with RTX 4090, I7 14700KF and Pimax Crystal. Then I tried normal screen 2d mode, the same 9-10 frames. No change if Open GL or Vulkan. All other aircraft are no problem with average 360 frames/s over Switzerland. Am I the only one with such problems?

Cannot fly the A350

Not seeing any issues in VR with the Quest 3, 4070, i9 14900K, everything on ultra

OK, it has to do with my Switzerland scenery. No problems in other regions. However it is just the A350 that has these problems. It is not the HD images I have. It must be in relation with airports, lifts, marinas. I will have to coment out each one individually in order to find out what causes these problems. If I comment out the whole scenery folder in documents Aerofly FS 4 the problems are gone.

Hi Thomas,
I noticed this too, but it is not a problem of textures, cultivation, POI, or xref, it is the plane itself, the same for the A380 since the last update, depending on the airports. For example, in Dusseldorf or Frankfurt, I have no problems. Certainly, there's a slight drop in FPS, but no stuttering or crashing. I don't know where this problem could be coming from, except for something internal to these two models. Maybe IPACS will be able to see this.

Please check that your graphics card is actually being used and not your graphics chip on the processor. Go to the NVIDIA control panel and select the high performance graphics card for Aerofly FS 4.

Thank you, Jan, I am aware of that as a flight simmer for about 35 years now . As I wrote above the problems are induced by airports I might have downloaded from flight-sim.org quite a long time ago (like lsmi, lsmc, lsgy etc.). I guess thay are quickly converted from Aerofly FS2 format. Interesting is that they only make problems with the A380 and the new A350. But if I comment them out (_lsmi) the problems are gone and I could enjoy a flight with the A350 over the Swiss Alps. Very nice impressive huge cockpit, especially with a Pimax Crystal.

I like to look at the affected airfields, maybe the causes can be easily eliminated.

Thanks Jan for this solution, but it wasn't related to a processor or card problem, but as Thomas described, it came from the airfields. By disabling them, no more problems.

Thanks Michael, but I'll look at this tonight, and reactivate aerodrome by aerodrome, and Hospital Heliport to see which one stumbles

Thank you both, Michael and Pascal. This is the forum I was used to for many years, helpful, supportive.
My findings: there are single swiss airfields that bring down the fps to 40 or less from 170. If I have all activated it kind of sums up and stays with 7-9 fps.

Here is my conclusion: all airfields work for me regarding LSGG. However, if I add, for example, (lshu_geneve_hospital_university_heliport), the problems start, and near this area, the image quality is jerky with a significant drop in FPS. However, I have not tested at LSZH, given the large number (hospital heliports, mountain landing sites, airfields, etc.). ApfelFlieger , if you can find a solution to this, it would be greatly appreciated, Thank you! But for the moment it is preferable for me not to use these two airports with the A350 and the A380 unlike with all the others of the Airbus or Boeing series which do not have this problem.

Thanks to you too for your help Thomas! Yes, certainly there must be a lot of isolated airfields, but I think more with these bugs on the LSZH side.

With me on the Mac, the fps values go down from 60 to +-30 when flying +-1000 ft over Geneva. This could be related to the number of objects. But I'll take a closer look at that.
In addition, when reading the tm.log I found 2 ERROR messages, which are only available on the A350 and A380:
Unfortunately, I have no idea where the error comes from, possibly from the OIS?
Tschüss, Michael

All in all, I don't think it's worth the effort; there would certainly be too many things to change.
Personally, I can do without these two models. Because after all the hard work you, ApfelFlieger and chrispriv , have put at our disposal to beautify Switzerland, I'm not going to disable all these add-ons just for the A350 and A380, because all other IPACS models and those from krzysk work without any problems. Thanks again for everything! -
You are right Pascal. There are no problems with the A380 and the A350 in other regions, e.g the USA. In Switzerland I personally fly anyway only smaller GA. And if I want to start with the A350 in LSZH I quickly deactivate the corresponding scenery folder.

Overall, I also do it so that I activate (only) the areas in which I fly.
Regardless of this, it is also a bit of ambition on my part that it always works as well as possible.
And since I recently discovered that static and animated objects not only have to be stored in the POI folder, but can also be integrated into the AIRPORTS folder, I will gradually revise the Swiss airfields and heliports anyway. But now it's Hawaii's turn, because there I can now also add passenger boarding bridges, groundtext and taxisigns. With this, the beautiful FS 2 scenery can also be taken over wonderfully in the FS 4 - it's worth it from my point of view.
