I need help from you guys

  • Well, as you may or as you may not know I’m currently trying to fly around the world with the Learjet 45 initially starting from Hamburg and eventually landing there again. For my routes I want to do short flights that take around an hour most of the time. And I only want to arrive at airports that offer a terminal building etc.

Currently, I am at LaGuirdia and by looking in the future I see a problem: How the hell should I realistically cross the Pacific Ocean without missing out on South America? According to Google the range of the Learjet is around 1970 NM. I cant really fly from Los Angeles to Honolulu since that exceeds the range and if I cross via Russia I miss out on South America. Any suggestions guys?^^

Id also like to get suggestions about specific airports that are challenging to land at so I can fly there. Thanks in advance<3

(I just noticed that I’ve exceeded that range already while flying from Keflavik to Boston because I relied on the Wikipedia data which showed the stats of the Learjet 35A, unfortunately but there I had extra fuel tanks onboard:saint:;). So I still don’t wanna exceed 1970 NM if possible.)

Try going south and go to Cuba, and try cape cod then Sydney. or maybe try doing along the lines of the route that Jessica Watson did. Lastly in my opinion I feel that Wikipedia is unreliable as anyone with a profile can edit.

  • Look up ferry flights, big temporary fuel tanks can be carried in the cabin. Routing from Concepción to Aukland the longest leg would be about 2,300 nm from Easter to Tahiti.

South America and Africa are often missed in round the world holidays.

Yeah that’s why it’s not too unrealistic to exceed the range. Nevertheless, I don’t wanna miss out on Africa or South America. I also don’t wanna miss out on Australia/ Oceania. Problem: Thaiti isn’t modeled in aerofly… I needa wait probably. Should I head down to South America firstival or to Alaska?
