Aerofly FS Version 1.5.1 Beta for iOS and Android Update

  • Dear Aerofly FS Users,

we have published a new beta version ( Version 1.5.1 ) to Apple that you can download here. In this update we fixed some broken airport buildings a rare pushback release crash and also the slow helicopter simulation. We would appreciate it, if you could give us feedback for this version specifically for the above three issues.

We also publish a new Android version ( Version 1.5.1.7 ) that also fixes the broken airport buildings and pushback issue. This version is already live for all customers.

  • It's gotten bad on Android too 😕

  • The Slow iPad Helicopter is solved.
These are my early impressions, they are vastly improved but one or two things stand out.

UH-60 nice. Smooth and harmonised response.

EC135 … not sure if there is something odd about the response to the collective and torque.
The first time I used the EC135 it seemed to perform unusually strongly in the vertical plane without strictly corresponding changes in power generation or collective position. It wasn’t translational lift and I don’t have enough low speed ring vortex knowledge to say how authentic this is but I was trying to avoid ring vortexes. The FLI and VEMD indications didn’t suggest anything strange.
It seemed OK next time I tried it.

R-22 tends more than the others to a sticky/non responsive touch screen slider rudder/torque pedals input.
Low speed and hovering it exhibited very rapid yaw swing single twitches of from one to three degrees on reversal of the rudder input’s direction, IN the direction of the new input. It happens most times and seems worse with applying the (permanently mobile sim assisted) left torque pedal. It is very noticeable and unpleasant.

    Thank You for the correction.

  • Got same results on my iPad Pro 2022 M1 8GB

  • For me (iPad9) the Robinson is perfectly fine. Especially since the double touch bug was fixed in AF Global. And now that it runs in real time... :)

  • R-22 update to Version 1.05.01.00 20250430 on iPad pro.

Yawing the R-22 to the left seems normalised but yawing to the right or cancelling a right yaw brings on a more violent and larger amplitude rapid yaw twitch. The twitch looks like more than the previous one to three degrees.

The right yaw is strange in that cancelling an already developed yaw to the right with left pedal action produces a big, at least five degrees or more yaw even further to the right! It then follows the rudder action and yaws left as commanded by that left pedal input.

The rudder pedal touch screen slider action seems more inclined to stick but the yaw twitch does not seem to be directly related to a sticky slider.

    Zero wind.

    Taxy speed or hover.

Tilt control. Ultra quality, Limited frame rates, 100% pixel density. Flight Assistant all off, invert view, app guides off, Adv view movements on, show landmarks on.

Traffic; info and trace off, airline, cross country and local on. Visibility high, clouds high, cumulus half scale, cirrus low.

The problems with night flights are still there. The rendering distances problems are still there. Day and night. And with every aircraft. Nothing fixed here. (iPhone 14 pro max)

The new update hasn’t changed the anything the night flying is still terrible and 3D buildings still don’t load properly anymore

The latest version 1.5.1 for iOS should have improved performance for many lower performance devices when using the A350 at night.

We also changed the loading distance for airports and buildings on some devices. However we will further investigate why some devices do not show lights properly in the distance.

Can you please post here if you notice a difference and if yes, please tell us what devices you have an what quality setting ( in case it's offered to you in the app, which is not the case on all devices ). Do not just post 'no change' or 'it doesn't work', please be specific or we can't help.

On iOS devices that offer you to set the quality we strongly discourage to use Ultra quality setting, please use at most HIGH for basically all devices. Also do not use 100% pixel density, 80% is recommended. All this helps to improve performance, reduce memory consumption and keep the overall simulation much smoother.
