A350 doesn`t follow path?

Why does A350 always goes higher in climb and lower on descent than it has to be (green line)? I have DESCENT mode selected, not OPEN DESCENT. A350 follows path strictly only on horizontal parts of profile. But on climb/descent it is always a bit higher or lower.
