Could IPACS consider removing certain icons for when you select “expert” for flight info type?

  • I personally think it would just be more realistic to get rid of the flaps icon, gear icon, and co-pilot button for selecting expert for the flight info, or when you just have the flight information turned off. Obviously this would be optional for users to choose whether they want it or not.

    Excuse my amazing writing skills.

I agree it also seems to take unnecessary amounts of space when expert pilots know how to turn on autopilot use flaps and put down the landing gear

I don't agree with that. All these commands and features have been around for a long time and have been working very well in the simulator. It makes no sense to remove them, much less change something that has been working so far.

  • Putting that stuff all over the (sacred😎) instrument panel in a flight simulator seems like madness to me. I asked why not keep it up over the blank sky when they made the change about 11 years ago. It might have been my first moan.
I don’t think there is much powered flight piloting background in IPACS, Jeff the American flew a Beechcraft single (Beech Musketeer?) but he doesn’t seem to be around any more. That must be why they just don’t get nav-aid audio identifications.
