    Hi

I am hearing the “auto brake off” on landing. I’ve set the BTV exit, then engage reverse thrust on touch down, and the autobrake disengages.

    Am I doing something wrong?

You can't pull the reverse thrust back to 100%; I think it's up to a maximum of 50%. Correct me if I'm wrong.

30% for the autobrake to work anything above and the autobrake wont decelerate as much

A related question: is BTV supposed to slow the aircraft by the selected exit without the use of any reverse thrust?

The aircraft comes to a stop at the BTV point without reverse thrust (taxi speed). However, I still use the reverser at about 20%. In reality, you actually use Always use the reverser as well, this protects the brakes.

Btv doesnt stop the aircraft it slows it to about 20 knots which is the runway exit speed and then you take over and exit the runway

Youre supposed to use it with btv basically what btv is its a normal autbrake but with a more advanced system. you select where you want to exit the runway the system then calculates based on the weight of the plane, configuration etc how much brake force it should apply. if you dont use reverse thrust the tire brake pads will have to compensate for that loss of deceleration meaning more wear and tear on the brake pads so just like in real life you should use reverse thrust when using btv

BTV just delays auto brake activation and then controls for deceleration rate. So when you use reverse it just applies a little less brakes but you still are slowed down to taxi speed at nearly the same location.
