I was doing a DME arc departure out of Bolzano, raw data.

I was trying a new method: entering the arc at a 95 degree angle, rather than 100. This worked very well.

How do you guys enter your DME arcs? A 95 degree angle seems to be geometrically correct, but many instructors teach a 100(/80) or even 90 degree entry.

I for one applaud you for flying DME arcs at all. 🫡

Out of curiosity: is this departure included in Aerofly FS flight planning, or did you do the planning manually?

(Hm, and I have to brush up on my procedure skills. My last ILS approaches, VOR Holding patterns or NDB / VOR approaches are long time ago. Maybe it is time for some custom missions?)

This was all raw data: Bolzano has no procedures in Aerofly.

I use Airmate (it’s free) to find charts for airports like this.

I've been using the Airmate app for a long time. It's really great, and all for free.💰

Am I right in saying that only US and Europe charts work? For me I have never been able to download charts in Australia for example.
