To do this, go to aircraft, then select the aircraft (let's take a b58 as an example). Open the b58 tmc.file with Notepad++, for example, and change the line under <[string8][Pilot][pilot_edward]> to <[string8][Pilot][pilot_eric]>.

Be careful, however, as your changes may be lost during an update, so it's best to back up your file.

The 3D model name for the pilot is defined in the aircraft tmc file. You can enter a different name there but the posture may not be compatible. Each pilot has an underlying bone model which is transformed into the final seated position and animated in the TMD file. The number of bones may not be identical between the pilot models so not all of them are interchangeable.
