Importance of the Community

    Today, I did a great landing and I wanted to share it to you guys:

    Because of that, I’ve noticed that this forum is mostly used as a forum for bug reports and suggestions. That’s great! Nevertheless, it doesn’t really strengthen the community. You cant even post videos here.

    As a proud aerofly member since the 2020 series, I’d like to ask you guys if you would like to see a discord server for aerofly. Id also like to ask Ipacs if that’s fine. It would probably become an unofficial community server which is still totally fine. I personally go that far to call an discord server essential to grow a connected community.

    For a small team, maintaining a forum is already taxing enough, It's best to keep players centralized in one place, where third-party content creators are also active. For a small dev team, preserving development energy is critical—each new account consumes resources meant for planes, liveries, weather, airport features, and new functionality development.

    We have this point in the forum again and again (estimated 1x a year). I for myself will limit myself to this forum, because it is comprehensive enough for me.

    I get your points. Nevertheless, I feel like the Aerofly community is way bigger than this forum. I personally think that the forum is inconveniently hidden, especially for new players. You don’t expect such a forum in the support tab or on a official side of the game in general. I’ve seen a lot of players that don’t know about this forum on discord or YouTube.

    Dann eröffne doch einfach einen Discord Server aber belaste nicht die Entwickler damit , diese sind nämlich mit viel wichtigeren Dingen beschäftigt. Was soll so ein Server überhaupt bringen? Ich verstehe den Sinn und Zweck nicht. Und wenn Spieler nicht wissen das es ein IPACS Forum gibt haben Sie den Simulator nicht richtig studiert, selbst im Internet kann man es nachlesen. Für was haben die eigentlich ein Smartphone? Es ist nicht böse gemeint von mir aber Du hast nach Meinungen gefragt und ich habe geantwortet.

    Wo belaste ich jetzt die Entwickler? Die können das hier auch einfach ignorieren. Es handelt sich ja eh planmäßig um einen inoffiziellen Server. Ich habe das nur mit den Entwicklern angesprochen, weil es auf Foren oft nicht erlaubt ist, Einladungen zu versenden. Der Server soll Aerofly was bringen, indem mehr Leute auf den Simulator aufmerksam werden und die Community mehr vernetzt wird. Discord bietet da viele Vorteile. Ich habe eure Meinungen verstanden und noch einen wichtigen Punkt genannt. Wo ist jetzt das Problem?😂
