• Dear IPACS Developers, the 737 is known for a european airline, that is known for its very hard landings, you already know, Ryanair, i hope you could add it and maybe even Buzz (still operated by Ryanair) i know Ryanair user a very specific model of the 737, the 737 8AS, so, could you add it to make the Ryanair experience more real?.

    please add it

    Thank you.

as Jan just said they won’t add liveries if the real airline doesnt fly the aircraft type which the sim has. Maybe once the 739 gets shrunk down to an -800 then yes but obviously not for the 900 series

  • When we add a 737 variant that Ryanair flies then we'll probably add that livery as well.

But they don't fly the 737-900ER and 737 MAX 9 which is why it's not in the sim currently.

Serious question, can you please answer?

Do you plan to add those 737 variants with Ryanair or Southwest any time soon? I know you cannot give a timeline, but can you say if they are being worked on next?

I understand you start with the longest variant so that it's easier to shrink down to shorter ones, but in several cases already the longest variant is by far *not* the most popular aircraft, as we've seen with the 787-10 and 737-900ER/MAX 9 and to some extent the A350-1000.

If it takes years to finally add the shorter variants, why not start with the most popular variant to begin with? That way users can enjoy the most number of airlines for years instead of needing to wait years for popular airlines like Southwest and Ryanair to finally get added in Aerofly. And I would assume that technology would advance over time so that it can eventually become easy to stretch a variant rather than shrink it?

It's pitiful that we have HD scenery in Europe and America but lack two of the world's largest airlines in those regions.

  • My guy you literally just stated their logic. The longest variant doesnt HAVE to be the most popular, it just has to be the longest version as it’s clearly been established that it’s easier for the aircraft designers to shrink an airframe rather than stretch it. Airframe length and popularity are not linked when it comes to these devs making new planes. In regards to timeframe, how long did we have the a320 before getting the 321, but then how quick did the a319 show up after that? These guys clearly have priorities, i’m sure a ryanair/southwest 737 will come soon, just let then get on with the work they have to do. You might argue that we’ve had a 787-10 since aerofly’s 2022 instalment, but that doesn’t mean (due to deliberate developer secrecy about future developments as to not cause speculation or misinformation) that the shorter versions are on their way? Look at the 77W, was introduced in 2020, and a shorter freight variant was released late last year. I’m positive that more variants like this are in their pipeline, but unlike most users on this forum i literally do not care how long it takes and what is next. I quite like the surprise when a new variant is teased only several weeks from release. Just be patient, we probably will get something else by the end of the year.

In case I didn't make myself clear, I'm absolutely not complaining about that developmental logic for choosing the longer version then shrinking it.

My point is that during these years when we are waiting for the next variant, we could have instead started out with the most popular variant, which maximizes the benefit users can gain in Aerofly. More liveries = more players = more money and popularity for Aerofly. There are only a dozen or so 737-900 or MAX 9 liveries, but around 100+ 737-800/MAX 8 liveries.

The question is, do people really care about *some* of the longer variants like the 737-900/MAX 9 over the 737-800/MAX 8?

Instead of sitting around with the same minimal 737-900/MAX 9 and 787-10 liveries for who knows how many years, we could instead have the world's largest airlines and a multitude of more routes to fly.

You may not care, and that's perfectly fine, but other users do.
