Is Aerofly Global the final app?

  • I'm just wondering if I should buy Aerofly Global since I already bought 3 licenses for the 2020, 2022 and 2023 and only buying 1 add-on for the 2023 which is the East Coast and Florida extension. I'm not sure if they'll release another one because I don't have any budget to spend really. If so, do they have app sales/discounts every December when they released new games back then or is it forever a fixed price.

    Thank you, cheers .

  • Aerofly FS Global was designed to break the yearly cycle of new apps. With the subscription model for global scenery and in app purchases for individual aircraft only time will will if this new app can remain profitable long term so that we can keep it around. So far we've been able to skip the 2025 version successfully and we were able to add more new aircraft throughout the year than in previous app versions. With your support we can keep this app going, so thank you!

  • We continue to support you. We kindly ask you to bring multiplayer as soon as possible. This will take IPAC to the top.

Well I would assume it isn’t that easy to add multiplayer. It would take probably years much longer than planes to make, and also I would think that there would be lots of money that would go into it.

Could I just touch on this with another question. Would we be correct to assume then that the switch version is a "complete and final' version; as any updates for new aircraft that fit into the switch capabilities would not have a revenue stream.

  • You are absolutely right, multiplayer is a must for simulations. Owning and managing an airline would be great. And more importantly, the arrival of the meta and the current time.

I've never seen a Level D simulator for professional pilot training that features multiplayer. So not, it's not a "must". It's a "nice to have". 8o

  • For me, all variants of FS are flight simulators and not airplane games.

Therefore, I find everything important that challenges and promotes me as an airplane pilot. For me, this includes, for example, a simulated cockpit as comprehensively as possible, a simulated aircraft physics as comprehensively as possible (e.g. aerodynamics), a simulated aircraft functionality as comprehensively as possible (e.g. fuel, disturbances), as realistic as possible airfields, dynamic weather and suitable external communication. For flying with helicopters and small planes, I am happy about sufficient landscaping.

Multiplayer and liverys, on the other hand, are at the end of my wish list.

  • I agree multiplayer is not a priority and TBF neither is a grossly inaccurate AI ATC.

However TBF I'm not sure Aerofly was ever developed to be an all singing and dancing full simulator. Other developers already fill that niche and I suspect most users are actually on mobile devices which are always going to incur some limitations

Regarding the Importance of Multiplayer (Translation Clarification)

In my previous message, I may have caused some misunderstanding due to a translation error — sorry about that. What I actually meant to say is not that multiplayer shouldn’t be a priority, but rather that it should be considered an important feature in modern flight simulators.

Aerofly FS Global offers impressive visuals and a smooth flight experience. However, users today expect more than just good graphics — they want a dynamic environment where they can interact with others. In real-life aviation, we’re never flying alone — there’s always communication with other pilots and ATC. Multiplayer enhances this realism significantly.

With multiplayer, users can organize group flights, join live events, and enjoy a much more engaging and social simulation experience. This strengthens the community and increases long-term engagement with the simulator.

While mobile platforms do have certain limitations, modern devices are more than capable of supporting multiplayer if properly optimized. So it's definitely achievable.

In short, multiplayer is not just a “nice-to-have” feature — for many users today, it’s a core part of what makes a flight simulator complete.
