New short-medium airplane

  • In my opinion, one of the best candidates to be aded on aerofly fs is the Atr 72.

Its a short-haul airplane for not long flights.

I would like it bc we need more brand variation, instead of boeing and airbuses, later on, they could also add the atr 42

It could introduce new liveries to the game, as: Azul and Voepass (voepass was the plane that fell in brazil) and i think it would bring more variation to the game itself.

Its not a commom plane to be introduced on games and it would make aerofly UNIQUE (more than it is already) and with the quality ipacs give us it would be surely one of the best atrs in the market

  • The developers said the ATR is similar enough to the Q400, so don’t expect it.

Actually it makes no sense, if it was so, why do we have the f15 and the f18? Or helicopters that look almost the same? The atr is similar, but not enough to say that! The similarity is only of being both turbopropelers!

Another thing people may say: "but its not a widely recognized plane" or smth like that, but i am sure people would use it more than some helicopters, and more than the q400 itself!

  • A really strange statement. The A319 is also very similar to the A320/321, and yet you developed it. 🤷I think it's about something completely different, a lot of work, high costs and other things.

The A319/A320/321 are variants of the same aircraft family. They share many similarities that can be duplicated. The Q400 and ATR are not. Different cockpit, systems, etc.

I too would like the ATR over the Q400, but here's what IPACS said: RE: ATR 72-600

"Any new aircraft takes upwards of 9 months to complete. And unfortunately we have other plans for the next upcoming aircraft so its unlikely to be developed any time soon. Currently the Q400 is a decent alternative to the ATR72, even though the instrumentation is quite different."

  • We already had a similar thread a month ago or so where I explained the reasoning.

I completely understand the time it takes to produce a completely new model!

But i mean, a side project maybe? Like, dont need the focus that the a350 had.

And also one thing: although it takes a long time do develop these aircrafts bringing us highest quality models, we can't avoid that new types of aircrafts are needed, i mean, we do not just want more of the same, do you understand?

I love when you introduce variations of the same model, as you did with the 737 this week, but, we need variation, maybe not now, theres no problem, but you should add new tipes of planes.

And the purpose of this post is an ide of plane that i would love to see in aerofly! Especially the global which is the version i play. i still want to see variations like the 737-7 the max versios, 777-2 and even more, but it has to have a balance, like, every 5 variations a new plane or smth like that, because if not, the game will be almost stagnant, with more of the same.

Thank you for reading, and what you decide, i am together!!

    Les go aerofly!!!

We want to keep a high quality standard for our product because that is what a lot of users expect.

9+ months of full time work cannot easily be done "on the side". We're talking 1000-2000 hours of work for a high quality aircraft in Aerofly FS. Even if you manage to squeeze in an additional hour "on the side" each day it'll take you 4 years or so to do accomplish this many hours and even more if you don't work on weekends or holidays. That means working every day for at least an hour. But during one hour each day for a week you don't get nearly as much done as 7 consecutive hours in a single day... That means realistically you'd be working on that one aircraft on the side for 8 years or so. That's a very long time.

That's why we want to focus on variants of aircraft which don't require completely new models each time.

  • I believe IPACS have the statistics of aircraft usage and time count for all users. That I suppose is the dominating factor of what aircraft to make in the future. If the Q400 is much less popular than other types of aircraft like 737 and 350, they probably won’t make it no matter how much you personally like the ATR series.

Besides this, please let the developers build some planes they like and put that over your personal preference.
