Auto cockpit settings

  • I use flight assistant to set altimeters at the TA, also handles landing lights etc on A3xx. My question is about Auto-cockpit, it seems to also retard the thrust levers on landing, is there a way to prevent it from closing the levers? A technique on the A319 is to keep the thrust on a little longer when landing with a tailwind (within limits)

I'm hoping it's a file I can adjust in the aircraft folder

  • There are no files that affect the assistance behaviors other than the copilot.tmc which defines a few key parameters of the aircraft. I wouldn't mess with that file though, just keep it as is.

The assistance is only active when you haven't moved the thrust levers manually before touchdown.

So during the flare at say 30ft or 20ft or so if you just decrease the thrust levers from CLB to the current thrust output for example, then the assistance should no longer activate at 5-10ft. It only sets it to idle if you haven't moved the levers, then it assumes you forgot or don't know what the "RETARD RETARD RETARD" callout means :)
