• It depends on what you require and expect, 1080, 1440 or 4K?

For a few hours I tried running FS4 with a similar i7 4770K clocked at 4.2 GHz with a 2 GB graphics card at 1080 and overall it was very pleasant. I put a 8 GB RTX 2080 super graphics card in and currently it runs at maximum ‘ultra’ settings at 60 fps everywhere at 4K even with only 8 GB of DDR3 motherboard RAM.

I think your PC would be pretty good but it might not be perfect with absolutely everything in FS4 ‘running at 11’. Aerofly does not need an expensive modern PC to work well and your cpu and ram are more than powerful enough but the graphics card while meeting the minimum requirements would probably need some restraint.
Aerofly favours high graphics card performance so the ultra settings New York city at glowing dawn or dusk with multiple dense cloud layers and flying the most demanding planes like the new Airbus A350 with a high density of generated air traffic going past, all at the same time might slow it down a bit at high resolution.

Aerofly at 60 fps will easily give the most satisfying flight simulation with your slightly elderly PC. FS4 still looks really good at a locked 30 fps (which I tried with Nvidia’s adaptive VSync, there is probably something similar in your graphics card’s settings) a preferred and perfectly satisfactory setting in Aerofly mobile.

I think Steam lets you try a game for a couple of hours before cancelling the order but it doesn’t really work with flight sims that take ages to download their huge programs.

Get more ideas and good luck.
