For "[type][addon]": Can a separate TMB file be ran alongside the aircraft's in the simulator?

While looking at the option.tmc section of the FS4 aircraft sdk website, I saw an addon option that can be used to add things like a tablet for an aircraft. I noticed the a380 already has one of these with the engine_ea addon option, but I'm assuming it's already included in the singular a380.tmb file. With that, I have a question:

Lets say I hypothetically completed a tablet addon, but I haven't included the functions yet. The goal is just to be able to see it in the simulator.

The TMD (named tablet.tmd), TMB (named tablet.tmb), and TTX are put in a folder like how liveries and engine options are. In option.tmc, I enter "[type][addon]". Will tablet.tmd refer to objects in tablet.tmb, and will it load successfully in the simulator?

I ask because I haven't seen any example of an addon with a separate tmb used successfully in the simulator.

Was the tmb file located with the original, or was it put in one of the option folders?

Yes, options support their own 3D models. We already use this in several aircraft for additional parts. E.g. the presidential cabin of the UH60 Marine 1 repaint.

Some users even put external loads under the wings of the F18 in the past.

One last thing. Can you reposition objects like the a350 engine above without needing to create animations? Or are the geometry positions defined in the model file itself

You can animate any object in the TMD file. Take a look at the flap and slat animation for example. You could move the engines that way, too, but I'm not sure why that would be useful?

I mentioned animations because I don't know if there is a simpler way to transform individual graphic objects. The only examples of repositioning I've seen in the TMD logic website and the existing aircraft files are graphics_translate lines, but these are associated with a chain of inputs that are used for animating.
